All "BOINC" and "BOSSA" projects which are envisioned and being considered are in a pre-alpha phase. For this reason, account creation is through invitation code only.
One such project under consideration is MedLINC: MEDical Literature Indexing on Networked Computers.

SETI@home is a scientific experiment that uses Internet-connected computers in the Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence (SETI). One approach, known as radio SETI, uses radio telescopes to listen for narrow-bandwidth radio signals from space.
