Take a survey about BOINC; click here for BOINC survey
To Crunch, or Not To Crunch: that is the question: Whether 'tis nobler to shutdown ones computer, or advance a scientific cause.
Is it altruism that motivates crunchers? Maybe it is scientific curiosity? Perhaps you have a personal interest in these projects? Does it mater which project you crunch for?
To better understand why people participate in BOINC projects, The Foundation for Computational Learning & Science is conducting a demographics survey.
What are you asking?
We would like to know the social economic background of our community, what types of scientific problems interest them, what frustrates them and several other questions.
Why now?
Our nascent foundation is taking on a demographics study to help answer question for a presentation and paper we plan to submit. We believe these results will help support the arguments we are making. Once our study is complete, we can describe a better strategy for promoting these projects.
How long is the survey?
It should take less than 5 minutes.
How do I complete the survey?
